Welding Laboratory
Plasma spray equipment
- The station is equipped with a Sulzer Metco plasma generator for spraying powders of metals, metal alloys and ceramics. The torch is placed on the arm of the ABB robot, model IRB 2400, which allows for precise determination and passage of the spray path. We are equipped with two burners model F4-MB-HBS and SM-F1. Deviations, parameters and calibration are carried out using a special stand, the so-called AcuraSpray equipped with a computer and a special camera. After calibration, the process is stable and repeatable.
Equipment for robotic MIG / MAG welding
- The station is equipped with a Fronius welding machine and feeder, coupled with the robot software. The burner is placed on the Comau SMART NS 16-1.65 ARC robot. Programming the robot is possible by using the Smartcimstation 5.1 computer program or manually from the controller, the so-called teach pendant.
TIG welding equipment
- The station is equipped with a Tetrix 351 ARC DC / AC welder and a TIP / TIG wire feeder. Thanks to the TIP / TIG feeder, it is possible to heat the wire resistively and regulate the speed of its feeding. The feeder eliminates manual wire feeding, which greatly facilitates the welding process.
- We also have a JÄCKLE G 161i device and an OZAS FALTIG-315 AC / DC welding machine.
Support for welding processes
- The SYSWELD program is used for virtual numerical simulations of heat treatment and welding processes, taking phase transitions into account. The work of the SYSWELD program is based on the finite element method. The possible parameters of the virtual simulation of the welding and heat treatment process are presented below: temperature field, material structure (material transformation phases, such as ferrite, bainite, martensite), HV hardening, grain size in austenite, deformations, residual stresses, carbon and nitrogen content . The program also allows the use of various materials during welding simulation and heat treatment. We can simulate on such materials as: all steels (pure steels, alloys, austenitic steel, etc.), aluminum alloys, titanium alloys, iron castings and many others.
- The program supporting the analysis of the weldability of the welding process (MatSpaw Expert) allows to determine the weldability, properties of the weld and heat-affected zone (HAZ) and stresses based on the set parameters: welded material, weld geometry, welding technology and its parameters.
Calorimeter
- Flow calorimeter for thermal measurements in bonding processes. The calorimeter shown is patent protected under the number P.384759.
CastoDyn DS 8000 burners
- A modern, modular oxygen-acetylene thermal spray system, designed to spray a wide range of alloys and other materials, is suitable for a wide variety of applications. It can be used in automated applications for mass production. The torch can be used to make protective coatings and regenerate many different mechanical components. For "cold spraying" of RotoTec and ProXon® powders without deformation and structural changes to the part being sprayed. For hot spraying of Eutalloy® RW powders to obtain compact, non-porous coatings. The ability to spray a wide range of alloys provides excellent resistance to metal-to-metal friction, corrosion, abrasion and erosion.
Harris Metal Powder Spray 187 Torch
-
Description of the burner and its functions:
- oxy-acetylene burner for thermal spraying, which applies the coatings very precisely,
- spraying metals: cobalt, nickel, iron alloys, tungsten carbide and Tribaloy alloy,
- light construction,
- gas backflow protection system and gas mixing in the powder tank,
- additional two nozzles,
- powder dispensing container,
- can be used with standard 85 handles.
Welding simulator - WELDTRAINER
Students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Aviation have the opportunity to train in the field of welding on the virtual WELDTRAINER simulator. The device is made available during classes for students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics for Students of Welding.
The simulator provides five methods of using the GT service (, GMAW, FCAW-S, welded materials) (carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper) and tests (Ar, He, CO2, Ar + C02, Ar + On). The option has the option to choose an option that you have the choice of contacting. They allow you to create a solution for different positions and:
- Workouts with equal exercises various different schemes as well as curves,
- exercises with angular connections in all positions (1F, 2F, 3F, 4F),
- position exercises in all the rebate joints in positions (1F, 2F, 3F, 4F),
- exercises with butt joint connection without a prepared edge,
- Results from positions, butt connection positions with values in positions, in all positions (1G, 2G, 3G, 4G), exercises in choosing the choice of pipe-to-pipe fittings,
- with two pipe diameters to, in all positions (2G, 5G, 6G),
- Tube-to-plate fitting selection samples with two pipe diameters of all positions (1F, 2F, 4F, 5F).
